The ego destroys the world as well it is the ego which grows the world.

About This Quote

The ego destroys the world as well it is the ego which grows the world. The ego, as is the case with many other things, is both a blessing and a curse. It can be used as a tool to help people find their purpose, but as is the case with most things, it is also something that can be used as a weapon. The ego can put people in situations where they lose sight of who they really are and what they really care about.

As we go about our lives, we all bring our own beliefs and values with us and those beliefs and values influence how we live and interact with others. We all have an idea of what is right and wrong and often times that idea becomes so ingrained in our minds that we do not see any other way to interpret events. There are times when we might look back on the decisions we made at one point or another and wish we had chosen differently or realized what was truly important sooner.

Things like this make up for the fact that most of us fall short of living up to our full potential.
